Prife Shop — International Commerce Platform
A custom international storefront for a global wellness brand — shoppers browse, subscribe, and check out in their own language and currency across six countries and 21 languages.

- 21 languages shipped
- 6 international markets
- 126 locale–market combinations
- 87+ reusable components
What the business needed
A global wellness brand needed to sell into six countries, where customers each expect to shop, subscribe, and check out in their own language and currency — something off-the-shelf storefronts handle badly past the first market or two. And the new storefront had to work with the company’s existing backend systems, not replace them.
The technical challenge
Six markets multiply everything. Twenty-one languages across 126 locale–market combinations, multi-currency pricing, country-specific shipping rules, state- and province-level tax, subscriptions, and payment processing — plus the commerce logic underneath: points-based tier progression, subscription discounting, and partner enrollment workflows. None of that is a translation layer bolted onto a store; it reaches into the catalog, the pricing, and the entire checkout flow, and it all has to stay in sync with an existing backend.
What I built
A custom storefront front end built for that scale. A multi-step, region-aware checkout applies the right shipping rules, tax, and currency for every market. A four-store persistent state architecture keeps cart, checkout, product data, and global application state consistent across sessions. Over 87 reusable components power the product galleries, touch-enabled carousels, and responsive navigation, and locale-aware routing delivers every page in the shopper’s own language. The storefront integrates with the client’s existing backend through API proxy routes — authentication, order processing, legacy compatibility — and ships with real-time error monitoring and structured event logging, so problems surface before customers report them.
- Shopping, subscriptions, and checkout localized across 21 languages and six markets
- Multi-step, region-aware checkout — country-specific shipping, state/province tax, payments
- Custom commerce logic: points-based tier progression, subscription discounting, partner enrollment
- Integrated with the client’s existing backend via API proxy routes — no rebuild required
The result
The storefront is live in production at shop.prifeshop.com, serving customers across six international markets — one front end behaving natively in 21 languages and 126 locale–market combinations, with multi-currency checkout and subscriptions. I designed and built the entire customer-facing storefront and maintained it in production through launch and beyond.
